Purpose To evaluate the clinical effect of postoperative early enteral nutrition on nutrition status, immune function, stringent status, postoperation infection complications after radical treatment of colorectal cancer patients. Methods Seventy-two patients with advanced colorectal cancer were randomly, equally divided into 3 groups: EEN group (Early enteral nutrition EEN,n=24) ,DEN group (Delayed enteral nutrition DEN,n=24), EPN group(Early parenteral nutrition EPN,n=24), The other 24 cases of benign diseases, which dated for selective operation were fetched as compare controll group (NC n=24) in the same term separately. In the EEN group ,nutrition fibre was infused on the first morning after operation untill eight days late, as the same way in DEN group on the fourth morning after operation.which would be last five days. The EPN group were commenced on the first morning after operation and ran continuously for 8 consecutive days. The levels of albumin (ALB) , pre-albumin (PAB) , transferrin (TF) ,CD3, CD4, CD8 , the ratio of CD4/CD8, IgA, IgM, IgG, C3, C4 and C reacting protein(CRP)were detected before operation and 9 days after operation, and the postoperative infections were observed, the length of hospital stay and restoration of bowel function were determinged, the cost of nutrition support was reckoned. Results The levels of ALB, PAB, TF were significantly less than NC group(P <0.01) in colorectal cancer patients before operation, the same as CD3, CD4, IgA, IgM, IgG and the ratio of CD4/CD8 in colorectal cancer patients, while the concentrations of CD8 and CRP were obviously higher than those in NC group (P<0.01), there has no statistic diffence between the test group and the NC group in the concentrations of C3 and C4. On the 9th day after operation, The levels of PAB and TF were significantly higher in EEN group than in DEN group (P<0.05) , The levels of CD3, CD4 and the ratio of CD4/CD8 were significantly higher in EEN group than both in DEN and EPN group (P<0.01) ,...
