[Objective]: E-cadherin(E-cad) existed in the epithelia of human beings and animals, which was main media that participated in the adherent reaction not only between cell and cell, but also between cell and matrix. E-cad had the important role in maintaining the structure of tissue. The aim of this study was to analyze the expression of E-cad in gynaecological cancers (ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial carcinoma, invasive mole and choriocarcinoma), and further do comparable research on E-cad relevance to gynaecological cancers. It would provide the theoretical basis on E-cad as an important indicator of early diagnosis and prognosis of gynaecological cancers.[Methods] :E-cad levels in the 16 cases of ovarian epithelium cancer, 15 cases of cervical cancer, 15 cases of endometrial carcinoma, 12 cases of invasive mole and choriocarcinoma and 58 cases of normal control tissues were determined by immunohistochemistry (SABC).[Results]: â‘ The difference of E-cad expression between 16 cases of ovarian cancer and 16 ones of ovarian neoplasms were not significant (P>0.05); there was significantly different between 15 cases of cervical cancer and 15 normal cervical...
