| Background and Objective:The incidence of breast disease, especially breast cancer, has increased along with the changing of life style and pollution of the environment.Breast cancer has been the most common cancer among women worldwide, which do harm to women's health and lives.Now,high-frequency ultrasound and colour Doppler flow imaging can clearly display the size, morphology, boundary and vessels of breast lesions. Ultrasonography has been accepted as one of the most useful diagnostic tools for breast disease. However, how to differentiate malignant lesions from benign lesions by ultrasonography is still a hot top. The development of new echo contrast agent has opened an exciting new area of research in breast US. The aim of this study was to investigate the advantages of contrast-enhanced ultrasound ( CE-US ) in the differential diagnosis value between benign and malignant breast tumors. Materials and methods:Between March 2005 and December 2005,52 patients in hospital, include 50 female patients and 2 male patients, aged from 20-76,mean 44.32 years, with a altogether 52 preoperatively indeterminate breast tumors underwent a sonograghic and contrast enhanced ultrasound (CE-US) evaluation. The tumors had a diameter range of 0.5-14cm.Histological confirmation was performed in all lesions by surgical preparation or vacuum biopsies. All the tumors were classified into malignant group which included 28cancers and benign group which included 24 benign tumors... |
