Along with the socio-economic development, the health demand has changed much in China. In recent years, the problem is prominent that it is difficult and expensive for the vast rural residents to see the doctor. It is paid more and more attention to health service equity. Especially in rural areas, the worse access and equity of health services make bad impact on the enhancement of health level of rural population. It makes against building harmonious society and new socialist countryside. The objectives of the study is to explore the factors affecting outpatient health services use and equity of the rural residents in Weihai, and to provide evidewnce for policymakers in allocating health resources and improving health equity.A household survey was conducted over 6229 rural households in which there were 15667 persons through stratified and cluster sampling. The data was collected by using questionnaires by the Institute of Social Medicine and Health Management of Shandong University, and analyzed by SPSS11.5 and EXCEL after being coded and logically checked.The main contents include: ①family economic condition, health care payment. ②personal information such as age and marital status, ③health need and outpatient service use by residents in recent two weeks before the survey.Descriptive analysis method is used to analyze the two-week prevalence and outpatient service use. Logistic's regression model is used to explore the factors affecting outpatient service utilization.
