Objective To study the variation of FR and retinal morphology in rats during RIR,and observe the effective of the levels of SOD MDA NO and retinal morphology from RIR induced retinopathy that induced by GEB-p. Method SD rats were divided into five groups randomly: Normal group,Placebo group,GEB-p group,VitaminE group and Negative contral group. Retinal ischemia was induced in SD rats by increasing the intraocular pressure to 16kPa for 1hour via cannulation into the anterior chamber. Measuring the contents of SOD MDA NO in retina and observing morphous of retina at the time of reperfusion after lhour,24hours and 72hours. Results The content of SOD of placebo group was continually decreased while the content of MDA was increased in reperfusion groups as compared with normal group. Normal group retina delamination, thickness and morphology of retina in normal group were much better than in placebo groups. Retinal contents of MDA SOD in GEB-p group are evidently decreased and increased respectively with significant differences compared with that in negative contral group at the time of reperfusion after 1hour,24hours and 72hours. Retinal contents of NO in GEB-p group are evidently decreased with significant difference compared with that in negative contral group at the time of reperfusion after 24hours and 72hours.Retina morphous of GEB-p group was close to that in normal group. Conclusion FR is gradually increased during RIR, which causes continuity affection in retina. GEB-p has the protected effect on ischemia reperfusion injury in rats.
