| Objective: Our investigation was designed to explore the diagnosis value of plasma BNP and ANP for diastolic heart failure (DHF) by observing the vary of BNP and ANP in DHF patients.Methods: We enrolled 59 patients with CHF and 20 patients with normal heart function as control group. CHF group was divided into SHF and DHF, according to NYHA class, SHF was divided into 3 groups,5 in II,6 in III,18 in IV,DHF was also divided into 3 groups, 15 in II,6 in III,9 in IV. When the patients were accepted, their BNP levels were measured by chemiluminescent immunoassay, their ANP levels were measured by radioimmunoassay, at the same day Doppler echocardiography was performed to measure parameters of LVEF, LVDd, UVDs, LA, IVST, LVPWT, E/A. ANP and BNP were measured again when 15 DHF patients were discharged.Results: (1) Compared with the control group, the plasma levels of BNP and ANP were significantly elevated in both DHF and SHF patients.
