ObjectiveTo investigate the feasibility of wave-front aberration-guided fitting of rigid gas-permeable contact lens and its clinical application. Patients and MethodsTwo hundreds and sixteen eyes of one hundred and twenty patients from July, 2004-March, 2006 were collected in Henan Institute of Ophtalmology, including 116 myopic eyes and 100 keratoconus eyes , and myopic eyes were subdivided into high myopia (60 eyes) and low and moderate myopia(56 eyes). High myopia and low and moderate myopia were subdivided into two groups. One group fit RGPCL in normal way and the other fit RGPCL with wave-front guided. Keratoconus eyes were subdivided into two group either. One group fit RGPCL in normal way and the other fit RGPCL with wave-front guided . Keratometer was used to check the corneal curve at 2 direction for 3 times to offer the mean K value, and a nearest basal lens to K value was selected as the trial lens. A evaluation of combination of dynamic and stationary wearing was performed under the slit-limp following the 20minutes of initial wearing to leading the accommodation of basal curve and diameter of lens until the final determination.
