Lung cancer, one of the severest diseases, with the increasing morbidity and mortality all over the world, has become the leading cause of cancer death. Lung cancer in China has come to the highest incidence and suffering patients in the world. As the leading pathologic type, non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) accounts for 80% of primary lung cancer. Generally, by normative surgical treatment, the 5-year survival rate of clinical stage I and II patients reaches to 40%, however, owing to the lack of effective early detection and therapeutic techniques, its overall 5-year survival rate is less than 13% yet. With the development of modern medicine, it has been gradually realized that lung cancer is not only a local malignant tumor but also a systemic disease in nature, and, based on this viewpoint, modern treatment conception was established.
