Millettla nitida Benth.var. hirsutissima Z.Wei, also known as Millettla dielsiana Harms, is a kind of traditional Chinese herbs, is used as medicine with long histry, and is a characteristic traditional Chinese herb of Jiangxi. In the Chinese medicine, it has efficiency of blood tonic to invigorate the blood and activating meridian used to treat menoxenia, blood deficiency sallow, numb paralyse, rheumatism numbness and (?) on. We preliminarily studied enrichment, constituent anlysis and antioxidant activity of flavonoids from Millettla nitida Benth.var. hirsutissima Z.Wei in this thesis. It will offer the theoretical foundation for popularization and clinical practice of Millettla nitida Benth.var. hirsutissima Z.Wei. The thesis divides five chapters to carry on the elaboration, its main contents are as follows:In first chapter, a review was presented, in which introduced the progress of chemical constituent of Caulis Spatholobi and isolated and analytical methods of natural product flavonoids. In the second chapter, macroporous adsorption resins were employed to enrich flavonoids from Millettla nitida Benth.var. hirsutissima Z.Wei. The preferred resins of separation and purification total flavone were selected by static experiments. Optimal technology parameters for selected resins were studied by orthogonal experiment design. The result showed, the resin of AB-8 and H-103 had good adsorption capacity and desorption rate. Concentration, eluent and flow rate were the principal factors that adsorption resin enriched total flavone from Millettla nitida Benth.var. hirsutissima Z.Wei. The content of enriched total flavone increased more double than that of total flavone of crude extract. In the third chapter, daidzein, genistein, formononetin and biochanin A were separated and determinated in various extracts from Millettla nitida Benth.var. hirsutissima Z.Wei by RP-HPLC. The main constituents varied between solute fraction and extracts purified by resin. Above-mentioned four isoflavones were found in solute fraction, but biochanin A was not found in extracts purified by resins. The method was sensitive, reproducible and rapid.
