Objective: Pseudocondyloma (PC) is a kind of self-limited, skin disease with prominence, pink papule. PC usually brings burden to patients because it is similar with Condyloma acuminata(CA) in clinical manifestation. The cause and pathogenesis of PC is unknown and all of the scholars'studies are not identical, so the routine histopathology changes and the immunohistochemistry are studied on PC and CA in this experiment.PC is a new disease with multiple, assemble papules. The disease is reported first as hirsuties papillarl vulvae by Altmeyer in 1982, called as hirstutoid papillomas by kohda in 1986 and Pseudocondyloma by Yuantengxianzi in 1987. Civil scholar Sujingze reported it first in 1990. With regarded to the recognition of PC, there are different ideas at present. Some scholars think PC is a type of CA infected by HPV. Some think it is affected by chronic inflammation or the stimulation of secretion. Some people emphasize that PC is a kind of anatomic mutation. CA is a sexually transmitted disease connected with HPV. The incidence of CA continues to rise in recent years.
