| Objective: The establishment of cervical cancer needs a long period and many factors involved in the process. It is widely accepted that the occurrence of cervical cancer correlates with constant infection of high risk Human papillomavirus (HR-HPV) strongly. In order to further study the pathogenesis of cervical cancer and obtain the basic theoretical and experimental foundation for cervical cancer screening and its diagnosis, expression of p16INK4a and pl4ARF in different cervical tissues and their relationship with HPV16 E6/E7 mRNA expression were studied.Methods:1. Semi-quantitative RT-PCR was used to assess the expression of HPV16 E6, E7, pl6INK4a and p14ARF mRNA in 15 cases of inflammatory cervical tissues, 25 cases of CINI, 22 cases of CINII-CINIII and 27 cases of invasive squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).2. The expression of pl6INK4a and pl4ARF protein was detected using immunohistochemical streptavidin/peroxidase (SP) method in all cases.Results:1. A total of 37 HPV16 E6 or E7 positive cases were... |
