At present all accept that old age and function of testis are two important factors of the disease and even the two factors are necessary. Benign prostatic hyperplasia is the hyperplasia of gland, connective tissue and smooth muscle of transitional zone around urethra of prostate gland. The block symptoms are caused by hyperplasia of prostate tissue and there come to incited symptoms of bladder for unsteady function with block. The block condition consists of two factors .One of them is mechanical block with hyperplasia gland pressing back urethra and other is block of tension caused by strona, capsule of prostate gland and neck of bladder. Therapy of point sticking is as one of Chinese traditional therapeutics. It put plaster on point or affected part. This therapy has existed for many years in china . The book of 《nei jing》 has the same as notes. The Chinese theories include three factors of t whole ideal, theory of jing luo and shu xue as center of zang fu. The function of therapy of point sticking with Chinese medicine are realized through double function of medicine and point sticking. Its effects are better than simple medicine or Acupuncture. It also avoids through liver and gastrointestinal tractor. It has some merits such as simple , effective. So we select therapy of point sticking for benign prostatic hyperplasia. Intension :Under direction of tutor, the research observes clinical curative effect Of therapy of point sticking on patients of benign prostatic hyperplasia and its possible mechanism of action.Methord : according to 《directed principles of clinical research on new Chinese medicine》 diagnosis standard on retention of urine. There are 60 cases of patients conformed to the standard. They are divided into two groups at random, one of which includes 30 cases. One of them is treatment group with therapy of point sticking, and the other is contrast group with prepared Chinese medicine of qian lietong. The period of treatment is for 14 days . In the period we observe patients' symptoms and physical sign. The 60 patients all are measured volume of prostatic gland and rest of amount urine. Conclusion :The treatment group with therapy of point sticking can improve patients' clinical symptoms in evidence and its general efficiency is 86.66%, which is better than the contrast group with prepared Chinese medicine of qian lietong (P<0. 05) .The two groups can also improve patients' clinical symptoms and rest of amount of urine. Point sticking is better than the contrast .The two groups have no effect on the patients' volume of prostatic gland .Conclusion: therapy of point sticking is as a method of treatment for benign prostatic hyperplasia. It can improve the patients' clinical symptoms and reduce rest of amount of urine. So it can stay occurrence of decompensation of bladder and put off associatied complication . So it can improve the patients' living quality. Since therapeutics of point sticking can improve the symptoms and rest amount of urine in short period , we infer its mechanism of action as follows: the therapy has effect on a ,AR of neck of urinary bladder, prostatic gland capsule and gland smooth muscle, which has the same action as block of a iAR. For the Chinese medicine of the method has the action of huo xue hua yu, these medicine can enter blood circle through point and arrive at prostatic gland . It may improve the condition of mcongestion, inflammation and edema of prostatic gland. Of course it relieves the block condition of prostatic gland.
