The Clinical Research On Acupuncture Basing On "Baihui" In Treatment Of Cerebral Infarction

[Objective]: To evaluate the therapeutic efficacy of acupuncture basing on "Baihui" in treatment of the cerebral infarction, to provide the acupoint which has a special therapeutic efficacy for the treatment of cerebral infarction.[Method] :The study is based on the diagnosis criterion which was instituted by the National TCM administration in 1995 .We have selected suitable cases from the inpatient department of acupuncture in The First Affiliated Hospital of GuangZhou TCM University since Apr, 2004 to Mar, 2006. There are 30 cases in treating group, 30 cases in compared group. The treating group' s prescription as follow: "baihui","sishencong" , "nie 3-point","zhi 3-needle","hegu","waiguan","quchi","jianyu","zusanli", "shangjuxu","jiexi" . Choosing certain acupionts according to the syndrome: with deglutition problem adding "fengchi","yifeng","wangu", disadvantage of speak adding"lianquan","yamen" ,"tongli", encopresis adding"shenshu", "ciliao", "dachangshu" ,"guanyuanshu" , "zhibian" , deflection of the mouth adding "dichuang","xiache", "neiting", "taichong" .Manipulation: Disinfect the acupoint, using 1.5~2 inch needle to do acupuncture , the insertion depth of "baidu" is 0.5~0.8 inch with smooth method, the other acupoints as the same, connect to electrical treatment machine, using density wave, the intensity bases on the patient's comfortable feeling. Keep the needles stay for 30min. Acupuncture 1 time per day, 30days counted as a period of treatment. During this period, herbs according to the syndrome cduld becooperated. Compared group' prescription: "sishencong" > "nie 3-point"s"zhi 3-needle'\ "hegu'\ "waiguan'\ "quchi \ " jianyu'\ "zusanli '\ "shangjuxu">"jiexi" .The method of choosing certain acupoints and other method are thesame as the treating gourp. Choose 4 main acupoints and other 3 acupointsat the same time, each acupoint used alternately. To observe basing on thestandard of degree of state of an illness (table l)and standard list of harmedneuron function (table 2), then check the rheology of blood and the cholesterolof blood before and after the treatment, to do statistic research in both groupto assess the standard number after treatment.Statistic and analysis, using SPASS12.0 statistic software package to Analyze and dispose.. Using t proof-test in the comparison of two groups, using T proof-test in the comparison of equal number between two groups, using partnership t proof-test in the comparison of each group inside, using Ridit analysis between the therapeutic efficacy of two groups.[Results]: The therapeutic effect of treating group is better than compared group (P<0. 05) . In the treating group 9 cases recoverd, accounting for 30% of total cases;12 cases got obvious effect, accounting for 40% of total cases;effective number was 4,accounting for 13.3% of total cases;tiny effective number was 3, accounting for 10. 0% of toal cases;there were 2 cases of no effect, accounting for 6. 7% of total cases;the total effective percentage of treating group was 93. 3%. In the compared group, 6 cases recoverd, accounting for 20% of total cases;10 cases got obvious effect, accounting for 33. 3% of total cases;effective number was 7, accounting for 23.3% of total cases;tiny effective number was 3, accounting for 10. 0% of toal cases;there were 4 cases of no effect, accounting for 13. 4% of total cases;the total effective percentage of treating group was 86. 6%.Graded in harmed neuron function, treating group was 5. 65±2. 29 points, compared points was 7.43 + 2.28 points;Graded in degree of state of an illness, treating group was 8. 65 + 3. 23 points, compared points was 10.43 + 3.17 points. The rheology of blood and the cholesterol of blood in treating group was obvious different from the compared group (P< 0. 05) , thatilluminates that when treating the cerebral infarction patient, using "baihui" to do acupuncture is better than compared group.[Conclusion]: From the ancient literature and modern research on baihui, we see clearly that the relationship between baihui and the cerebral rehabilitations the dangerous factors of cerebral infarction, there is significant meaning to perform acupuncture with baihui in amending the rheology of blood and the cholesterol of blood in patient with cerebral infarction. To manage the standard of degree of state of an illness(table l)and standard list of neuron function (table 2) to grade between the two groups after treatment, this two table both showed benefit in two groups to amend the motional ability, and the treating group is more significant. From this research, we get the conclusion that performing acupuncture with baihui could improve the curative effective in cerebral infarction, there is significant effect to improve cerebral infarction when using baihui, it is meaningful to spread this kind of treatment in clinical application.
