Objective: To observe C-fos and NOS express in brain after rat mutilation forward limb and morphology foundation of "nerve rerouting" phenomenon. Methods: A classical animal model of rat amputation was established by imitation. 56 healthy rats were randomly divided into 7 groups each group is 8. namely: upper limb stimulus after amputation for 70 days(groupâ… );face stimulus after amputation for 70 days(group â…¡); upper limb stimulus after amputation for 40 days(groupâ…¢); face stimulus after amputation for 40 days(groupâ…£); upper limb stimulus for normal rats (groupâ…¤);face stimulus for normal rats(groupâ…¥);blank group (groupâ…¦). Rats are put to death after stimulus for 2 hours. Location under the microscope by using H-E staining. The varying of express of C-fos , NOS in different stimulus condition and different brain tissue including dorsal ganglion, nucleus ventralis posterolateralis thalami, nucleus ventralis posteromedialis thalami, nucleus of spinal tract of trigeminal nerve and trigeminal ganglion are examined by immunohisto-chemical technique. Results: the express of C-fos, NOS is the lowest in blank group including five parts; the express of C-fos, NOS is higer including dorsal ganglion, nucleus ventralis posterolateralis thalami, nucleus ventralis posteromedialis thalami both groupâ…  and groupâ…¢; the express of C-fos, NOS is higer including nucleus ventralis posterolateralis thalami, nucleus ventralis posteromedialis thalami, nucleus of spinal tract of trigeminal nerve and trigeminal ganglion both group II and groupâ…£; the express of C-fos, NOS is higer including dorsal ganglion, nucleus ventralis posterolateralis thalami in group V; the express of C-fos, NOS is higer including nucleus ventralis posteromedialis thalami, nucleus of spinal...
