The traditional Chinese medicine Gu-Sui-Bu is dried rhizoma of Drynaria Fortunei(Kunze)J.Sm. or D. baronii(Christ)Diel. It has been widely used in the ancient Chinese to manage musculoskeletal traumatic disorders and periodontitis. By the way of medicinal chemistry, it has been proved that the virtual component of Gu-Sui-Bu is naringin,a type of flavone. Since these years,it has been showed that Gu-Sui-Bu have beneficial effects on periodontitis, but the mechanism of this is still unclear. It has been showed that human periodontal ligament cell (hPDLC) is a kind of polyclonal cells and play a great part in the course of periodontium reconstruction. The objective of this study is to investigate the Effects of Gu-Sui-Bu naringin on proliferation, alkaline Phosphatase activity and ultra-structure of human periodontal ligament cells, to elucidate the mechanism of Gu-Sui-Bu...
