| ObjectiveArsenic is a kind of poisonous metal - liked element and exists in the earth' s crust, soil, sea water, river water, atmosphere and food. Liver is one of target organ in which arsenic is transported, accumulated and expressed the tox-icity. Arsenic could induce liver harm, liver fibrosis, hepatocirrhosis and liver cancer. Because arsenic toxic effects on liver are complex, and the mechanism of toxic function especially the molecular mechanism are still unknown, there are not early sensitive biological monitoring indexes at present. This study aims at through determining the content total urinary arsenic and serum indexes of ALT, AST,GGT,ALP,ADA,mAST,GLD,CHE,TBIL,DBIL,TP,ALB,TBA and PA in the workers occupationally exposed to arsenic ,to explore arsenic toxic effects on liver and assess the sensitivity of different biochemical indexes.Methods103 male workers (aged 21 -51) who worked in coppery smelting plant were selected as study subjects. Through questionnaire investigation, we understood the workers illness, life way and history of harmful material exposure. According to the measurement results of urine arsenic, we divided 103 workers into two groups, the first one had 68 workers as arsenic exposed group, their urine arsenic were all less than 0. 1 mg/L, the mean value was 0. 06 ±0. 05 mg/L; the second had 35 workers as arsenic poisoned group, theirs were more than 0. 1 mg/L, the mean value was 0. 17 ±0. 06 mg/L; Selected 63 male workers ( aged 20 - 58 ) who worked in the machining plant of the same factory without... |
