Background:Islet transplantation has become hot spot in the current study field of diabetes treatment for its advantages such as being safe and convenient, in favor of modification of the in vitro graft and less adverse effects, etc. Islet transplantation has already been able to maintain long-term euglycemia and non insulin-dependence in patients with Type 1 Diabetes. With the continuous improvement of islet isolation and purification techniques and the advent and application of novel immunosuppressant, the clinical homogenous islet transplantation has achieved outstanding progression. In recent years, the development of techniques such as stem cell induction, gene modification and immune tolerance, etc., has achieved great progress. However, microbial contaminations in the cell preparation and culture processes have emerged after the problems of immunologic rejection and transplanted cell population being improved gradually. Compared to the solid organ transplantation, its the probability of infection has increased greatly. In patients with incapacity immune system caused by the post transplant immunologic rejection reactions, infection is lethal. Once happens, it is difficult to be controlled. Therefore, during the procedures of islet cell...
