Research background: The pulmonary mass are the common diseases in clinical work, and its clinical symptoms, imaging characteristics and pathological types are varied. So far, the first treat method of the pulmonary mass is early diagnosis, and early surgical excision.The key to the early diagnosis is still imaging diagnosis,and improved diagnosis rates on pulmonary tumor will enhance and improve the treatment effect directly.The imaging diagnosis research on typical pulmonary mass has made significant progress in recent years. With the appearance and the development of the examination method, more and more pathological kinds of pulmonary mass have been found out, and always in the earlier time. The clinical symptoms, imaging characteristics and pathological types of this pathological changes turn to atypical. The systematic research on the atypical pulmonary mass especially the comparative research on the clinical, pathological, and imaging characteristics is still in good demand. This paper collected 134 cases with complete data, made a preliminary study on the clinical symptoms, imaging characteristics, pathological types and the judgment that whether the pulmonary mass is benign or malignant in order to resolve the practical difficulties in the clinical work.There is no one clear definition for atypical pulmonary mass in clinical work.
