BackgroundWith the spectrum of disease changing, incidence of chronic diseases was gradually increasing, such as cancers, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. In clinic, it was very difficult to cure these diseases as well as to evaluate their therapeutic efficacy. There so many harmful effects were brought to the patients themselves and their families. With the living standard improving, the health conception was also changing, and improving the patients' quality of life (QOL) has become one of important tasks to the medical workers.Atrial fibrillation (AF) is one of frequent continuous arrhythmia in cardiovascular diseases, which incidence is increasing accompany with the age growth. Because of the high incidence and the severe harm to people, AF has become the prime question of cardiology in 21st. Generally, AF is classified into two types, chronic and acute. If the patients with AF failed in the treatment of drug and electrical conversion, they would be diagnosed as permanent atrial fibrillation, which is difficult to cure and displays continuous panicky and chest distress. In the past, two strategies were adopted to treat AF: one was rhythm control, another was rate control. Certainly the latter strategy was confirmed to be better than the former one by lots of clinic trials. There two methods are usually chosen to perform rate control, drug and non-drug treatment. At present, AV Node Ablation and Pacemaker implantation (ABL+PM), known as a simple and safe method, plays an important role in the field of rate control strategy. In rate control, ABL+PM may have an advantage to the drug...
