Factors To Influence TB Detection Delay In Migrants And Its Measures

Background: China is one of the 22 countries with heavy TB burden in the world. China was ranked the No.1 to be alerted in the global conference on stop TB in 2004. TB in migrants became the new highlight in China. It was proved that the key of Tb control is detection early, there are few studies on TB related delay in migrants, so this study set out to study Tb delay in rural-urban migrants in Chongqing.Aim:to learn about TB knowledge/awareness/perception in migrants, to study the healthcare seeking behaviour in migrants with chronic cough, and to identify the factors to influence patients delay and diagnosis delay, to explore effective measures to stop Tb in migrants, in order to provide evidences to policy makers.Methods:1, Qualitative study was conducted with open-ended guidelines, data were collected with 12 with general migrants in two selected districts, in-depth interviews with migrant TB suspects with chronic cough and delayed Tb migrant patients; and key informant interviews with health...
