| OBJECTIVES: Resveratrol is a natural plant extraction with much bioactive function, and it also has antineoplastic effect to many kinds of tumours without toxic effect, so it is prospected to be a newly valuable pharmaceutical product to prevent and treat human cancers. To investigate synergistic effect of resveratrol and Ara-c and discuss its related mechansisms by observing suppressing effect, cell cycle, protein expression of Fas/FasL and Survivin when K562 cell was treated with resveratrol alone or in combination with Ara-c.Method: MTT assay was performed to detect the suppressing effect of resveratrol and Ara-c alone or in combination on K562 cells for 24h, 48h and 72h. Chou-Talalay was used to calculate middle dosage at different periods to estimate synergistic effect of resveratrol and Ara-c on K562 cells.
