PART I METABOLIC SYNDROME AND CORONARY HEART DISEASE IN AGED GROUPObjective:To investigate the relationship between metabolic syndrome and coronary heart disease(CHD)in aged group.Methods:125patients who underwent coronary angiography were recruited in this study. 78 cases were diagnosed as CHD, and 38 of them were further diagnosed to have metabolic syndrome. And there were 11 cases with metabolic syndrome in the other 47patients without CHD. Anthropometric measures, lipid profiles, blood glucose and plasma fibrinogen were measured. The relationship among metabolic syndrome, CHD and the stenosis degree of the coronary artery in patients with CHD in aged group was analyzed.Results:1.39.2% patients (M/F:36.7%vs.41.5%) were diagnosed metabolic syndrome.2.The prevalence of MS in the CHD group was...
