The chemical component study on the Sipunculus nudus and alkaloids fraction of Stemona sessilifolia-the folklore medicine plant was reported by this paper. The chemical components of Sipunculus nudus Linnaeus and the alkaloid fraction of Stemona sessilifolia were subjected to silica gel chromatography, and reverse-phase RP-18, MCI-CHP-20P, and gel Sephadex LH-20. The structures and stereochemistry of the compounds isolated from them elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including IR, UV, MS, NMR, especially 2D NMR(~1H-~1H COSY, HMQC, HMBC, NOESY).Six known compounds including three cholesterol, two fatty acid and one fatty acid glycerol ester were isolated from Sipunculus nudus. Six alkaloids were isolated from Stemona sessilifolia, three of them are new alkaloids. The structures of the others are being studied.
