Objective: To study the induction of burn toxins to gut derived infection; and to find a way to prevent gut derived infection after serious bum so as to reduce the rate of gut derived infection after serious burn and the complications in the early stage of serious burn injury. Methods: Healthy Wistar rats were subjected to 35% third-degree burns on their backs. Four hours after injury, burn toxins were obtained when we rinse the under layer of the scalded part of skin with normal sodium. Then burn toxins were injected into the abdomen of other healthy Wistar rats. 12h, 24h, 48h and 72h after injection ,germ cultivation were made with blood got from portal vein and the homogenates with mesenteric lymph nodes. Pathological changes of ileum and mesenteric lymph nodes were studied. Ileum specimen taken 12h, 24h, 48h and 72h after injection were undergone immunohistochemistry staining method to detect the amount of CD4+, CD8+ Tcells. The ratio of CD4+/CD8+T lymphocytes were also counted .Results: 12h, 24h, 48h and 72h after injection ,blood and homogenates of mesenteric lymph nodes culturing both showed to be positive. The positive rate first showed to be low, with time continuing, it goes up. While at 24h, it reaches the highest level. And all the flora were verified to be normal residents of the intestine. The amounts of CD4+, CD8+T lymphocytes get down, and the same time is with the ratio CD4+/CD8+T lymphocytes after the injection of burn toxins. At the same time, pathological observation showed that at each time point there was a different degree of injury of the ileum mucosa. Statistics studies showed there was no significant difference between the experimental group and the normal control group. Conclusions: Burn toxins can cause the intestinal mucosa to a different degree of injuring in a certain time stage(048h), and reaches the highest level at 48h. Then leads to translocation of normal resident bacteria in gut throw the way of blood and lymph circulation. So escharectomy in the early stage after serious burn injury can stop the...
