OBJECTIONThe aim of the present study was to compare the usefulness of the peripheralairway cell markers, naspin A (noval aspartic proteinase of the pepsin family) and TTF-1 (thyroid transcription factor), for distinguishing primary lung Adc (adeno-carcinomas) from Adc of other organs in various clinical conditions. Immunohisto -chemical expression of naspin A and.TTF-1 was analyzed at primary sites and lung metastatic sites, metastatic lymph nodes of PLC(primary lung carcinomas) and Adc ofother organs. Investigate the role of naspin A in the generating and developing of primary lung Adc, and the relationship between the extent of napsin A expression and HD(histological differentiation) subgroups of primary lung Adc. METHODThe SP immunohistochemical method were used to detect the expression of napsin A and TTF-1 in the paraffin-embedded tissue specimens from patients with lung Adc who were treated only by surgery previously at Shandong Qianfoshan Hospital between 1984 and 2005. Surgical specimens were obtained from 42 cases of PLC, 45 cases of HD subgroups of primary lung Adc,13 cases of metastatic lung Adc from other organs, 15 cases with primary non-pulmonary Adc, 11 cases with...
