In many cases of low back pain , the definite pathogenic factor can not be found . After a study of more than ten years, we found that many patients suffer diffuse pain of low back and hip ,even the anterior thigh, some of them also complain about asthenia of their thigh. All of these cases , have a deep pressure pain point at the lateroinferior area of the posterosuperior iliac spine . A local injection in this point results in conspicuous curative effect . we define it as Hip-thigh Syndrome. And it was studied by meaning of anatomy , animal experiment and clinic work. The posterior ramus of spinal nerve, especially cutaneous nerve in the superior lateral area of the posterosuperior iliac spine were studied on 33 adult bodies . It was proved that the posterior ramus of spinal nerve was entrapped at three place . Superior cluneal nerve was also studied. The fluorescent FB and NY were used in fourteen rats. NY was injected into spot of low back pain and FB was injected into the skin of hip and thigh . After an appropriate survival time , rats were perfused and fixed. The corresponding DRGs were dissected out and cut by a cryostat. The slides were observed under NIKON fluorescent microscope.
