Bnip3L (Bcl-2/E1B 19kDa-interacting protein 3-like) gene is a tumor suppressor gene cloned from a human fetal liver cDNA library, which is located at 8p21,one of the high frequent regions of heterozygosity (LOH) in lung carcinoma. Bnip3L belongs to BH3-only apoptosis-inducing factor of Bcl-2 family, which can interact with antiapoptotic proteins, such as Bcl-2, Bcl-x_l, E1B19K and promote apoptosis.Recently researchs indicate that Bnip3L can effect p53 to suppress tumor growth under low-oxygen conditions . This study was designed to explore the expression of Bnip3L and Bcl-2 in non-small cell lung cancer. Objectives: Aim to measure the expression of Bnip3L and Bcl-2 in tissues of patients with non-small cell lung cancer and study the relationship between the expression and the prognosis of non-small cell lung cancer patients. Methods: To detect the expression of Bnip3L and Bcl-2 in cancer tissues of 128 non-small cell lung cancer patients and other 64 non-tumor disease patients with tissue chip and immunohistochemical methods. The...
