Objective :To analyze the correlation between T factor and survival of non-small cell lung cancer in the stage IA with the radical resection. Methods: Retrospective analysis was performed on the clinicopathologic data of 88 patients with stage IA NSCLC after radical resection of thoracic surgery from January2010 to January 2013.The SPSS22.0 statistical software was used for statistical analysis, and the survival rate was calculated by Kaplan-Meier method, and the survival rate difference was compared with the Log-rank sequence test.COX regression model was used for multivariate analysis. Results: The 5-year overall survival rate was 78.4%.The single factor analysis showed that the longest diameter of TNM stage tumor in the seventh edition of UICC guide, the longest diameter of the tumor was less than 2cm and the longest diameter of the tumor was > 2cm,with no more than 3cm of the 5-year survival rate was 88% and65.8%(p=0.001)for patients. The eighth edition of UICC guide TNM staging tumor diameter, the longest diameter 1 cm or less, tumor diameter > 1 cm,2 cm or less, maximum tumor diameter > 2 cm,3 cm or less, the 5-year survival rate of patients are95.8%,80.8% and 65.8%,comparison each other,p < 0.05 was considered statistically significant.Gender(p=0.534),age(p=0.374),pathological type(p=0.072),smoking(p=0.657)was not significantly correlated with long-term survival.Multiple factors showed that the longest tumor diameter(p=0.002)was statistically significant for long-term survival. Conclusion:The maximum tumor diameter is independent prognostic factors of the8 th Edition stage IA NSCLC after radical resection. The 8th Edition of UICC guide TNM staging system can more accurately reflect the changes of its survival period in tumor size, and it is more clinically instructive.
