Deep hypothermic circulatory arrest (DHCA) is an important technology in the department of cardiovascular surgery. It provides surgeons bloodless operative field and fewer surgical instruments. It promotes quickly development of the treatment of complex congenital heart diseases and the operation in aortic arch. However, DHCA can induce body in ischemia and anoxemia relatively, and cause injury of subcellular structure or dysfunction of cells, tissues and organs, especially in nervous system. Nervous complications are common after DHCA. Cerebral ischemia injury can cause neorobiosis and apoptosis, and the latter is one of the main reasons that induce immediate or late nervous complications after DHCA. In this study, we observed neuron apoptosis and the expression of bcl-2 and bax in hippocampus in dogs, and compared the results to provide experimental basement for further understanding of the mechanism of neuron apoptosis during DHCA and cerebral protection mechanisms of...
