Objective:This experiment adopt natural senility model rats to explore the effect of SQWA on oxidation resistance and immunologic function of natural senility model rats to reseach the mechanisms of SQWA's anti-aging function. Methods:50 aging rats(20-22 months, body weight 450±20 g ) were randomly divided into five groups 10 in every group: senility model group, positive control group(Vitamin E 2.0g/kg), three treatment control groups in three levels of SQWA as 8.1%, 16.2%, 32.4%;10 young rats(4-6 months, body weight 100±20 g ) were taken into the young control group(physiologic saline).Six groups took intragastric administration for seven weeks. Then we detected items:SOD, MDA in skin, SOD, IL-2, IL-4 in blood serum and the proliferation of T cell. Result:The activity of SOD(skin and blood serum) and the level of IL-2(blood serum) of aging rats were higher in three treatment control groups than those of senility model group obviously, but there was agreat change of MDA, especially the level of MDA(skin) of senility model group was higher than the other groups. Otherwise the proliferation of T cell of three treatment control groups had been enhanced greatly. Conclusion:SQWA can enhance oxidation resistance and heighten andenhance immunologic function of the natural senility model rats to postponie and prevent senescence.
