Objective: In order to further evaluate the results of the repair of peripheral nerve injuries by implantation of vascular bundle into the compressed nerve grafts. In order to observe the process of revascularization and regeneration of the compressed nerve gratfs after vascular bundle implantation and the relation of this method and the regeneration of the nerve .Methods: A chronic nerve compression animal model was made according the method described by Machinnonic, the animal were anesthetized using an abdominal injection of ketamine (0.3ml/100g). The procedures were conducted using a surgical microscope under 10 magnifications and by the same person. The right sciatic nerver was exposed and identified. Its average diameter is 1.0mm. A 3mm length of silastic tub with an internal diameter of 1.0mm was cut longitudinally and placed around the nerver. The cut of tub was sewn closed with 7-0 sutures and the tub was reconstituted to its original diameter. With the growth of the nerve, the sciatic nerve will gradually be compressed. After the model was done, 51 healthy female SD rats (150- 200g) were devided into two groups randomly. There are 30 rats in the experimental group and 21 rats in the...
