Objective The incidence of cerebral infarction increases yearly, progressing ischemic stroke is one of types that difficult to be dealt with. We have confirmed that progressing ischemic stroke (PIS) is a common problem that is associated with high morbidity and mortality. The routine therapy for cerebral infarction can not inhibit its progression. Atherosclerosis base on the major pathology of cerebral infarction, but clinical research find some patients with atherosclerosis have not traditional dangerous factors. It is a problem necessary for doctors to study and tackle. Recently, more and more scholars pay attention to the probably risk factors for cerebral infarction in order to find a method for controlling Atherosclerosis diseases, especially to the effects of active infection of human Cytomegalovirus. Human Cytomegalovirus (HCMV) is a infection factor what is considered to be contributed to atherosclerosis. It is often reported the relationship between active cytomegalovirus infection and cerebral infarction. But there are rarely reports about study on the relationship between cytomegalovirus and progressing ischemic stroke...
