Clinical Study On ShengYangYiShen Decoction In The Treatment Of Childhood Bronchial Asthma With Allegic Rhinitis

Childhood Bronchial Asthma and Allegic rhinitis(AR) are common disease and refractoriness in paediatrics. To study the exclusive pathogenesis of the childhood bronchial asthma with allegic rhinitis(AR) at the angle of TCM theory.And in order to approach the therapeutic alliance of the two diseases, we have summary the therapeutic experience which belong to the paediatrics of GuangDong TCM hospital And observed the clinical therapeutic effect of ShenYangYiShen(SYYS) decoction in treating the disease(asthma with AR).In this thesis ,the compounded medicine(SYYS) we used is prescribed by pediatric Professor Xu.YouJia . The compounded medicine comprises psoraleae eucommiae, myristana;cimicifugae and as well. We achieved great effect in treating childhood asthma with AR,and discovered the decotion possess the effectiveness that can tonification the kidney and invigorate the spleen. Its peculiarity is that promoting lucid yang to clean retained phlegm , warming kidney yang to improve deficient cold body constitution. So the work aiming to objective evaluated the clinical therapeutic effect of the SYYS decoction,consisted of literature overview and clinical study. Literature OverviewThe author has reviewed the ancient and modern research about chilhood bronchial asthma and allegic rhinitis. These two diseases are often exist in one patient. Nowdays, it has been testified from many facet that AR and bronchial asthma are closely associated. Adopt the plan of therapeutic alliance can elevate the curative effect. Some Chinese herbs can invigorate the kidney and spleen, and improve the patient body constitution to reduce the recidivation. But there is a lack of studies about the relationg between these two diseases at the angle of TCM,and so it is necessary to go further study on combination of TCM with Western medicine to elevate the curative effect of asthma with AR in children. Clinical studyObjective: To evaluate the curative effects of ShenYangYiShen decoction in treating children bronchial asthma with allegic rhinitis and observe its effects ondecrease PEF and integral score of kidney-yang deficiency syndrome. Methods: sixty bronchial asthma children with allergic rhinitis were randomly divided into treatment or control group,in which ShenYangYiShen decoction or Flixonase puff nose was given respectively. Symptom score and pulmonary function expressed as peak expiratory flow (PEF), and the integral score of kidney-yang deficiency syndrome were recorded. Results: After treatment, there were significant differences between treatment and control groups in the symptom score(6.13 ± 2.01 vas5.2± 1.42) and PEF variance rate (12.75% vas 15.5%). While the score of kidney-yang deficiency syndrome in treatment group were significant lower than those in control group(5.89vas8.67). Conclusion: ShengYangYiShen decotion was effective to alleviate clinical symptoms, reduce PEF variance rates,decrease the integral score of kidney-yang deficiency syndrome, so as to improve patient' s deficient cold body constitution and maintain the stability of illness.
