| Objective : To investigate the distribution of fimA virulence genotype of Porphoromonas gingivalis in Uygur chronic periodontitis patients. Methods: Subgingival plaque samples were collected from 52 Uygur Chronic periodontitis patients. DNA of plaque was extracted by UNIQ-10 Bacteria kit and Chelex-100 assay. The obtained DNA was used as template to detected Porphyromonas gingivalis by 16SrRNA PCR. Moreover, prevalence of subtyping of fimA virulence genotypes â…¡ and â…£ was assessed by PCR among the P.gingivalis positive patients. Result: The detective ratio of P.gingivalis was 76.9%. The detection of P.gingivalis is associated with pocket depth. Furthermore, two virulence Genotypes among P.gingivalis positive patients were as fllows: fimA type â…¡37.5%; fimA type â…£22.5%. Conclusion: P.gingivalis with fimA virulence genotypes were detected in subgingival plaque sample from Uygur Chronic periodontitis . |
