Objective: To explore the related factors of recurrence of glioma in order to provide the theoretical guideline to the clinical treatment. Methods: Clinical and radiological features of 26 patients with recurrent glioma were collected and retrospectively analyzed by Kplan-Meier method and multivariate anlysis of Cox regression model. Results: With analysis of Kaplan-Meier, the following factors had a significant influence on recrudescence of glioma(P<0.05): age, lasting time of sympton, pathlogical grade, location, postoperative KPS, extent of resection, postoperative radiotherapy. With multivariate analysis of Cox regression model, the following factors had a significant influence on recrudence of glioma (P<0.01):pathological grade, extent of resection and postoperative radiotherapy. Conclusion: pathological grade, extent of resection and postoperative radiotherapy are principal factors of recurrence of glioma. New diagnostic and therapeutic measures would prevent the treated glioma fromrecurrence during arrangement of rational therapeutic programes.
