| Objective: To research the clinical manifestations, immunological andcurative effect by UDCA between the primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) patientsof the positive and the negative AMA-M2.Methods: 24 PBC patients were divided into two groups by the positiveand the negative AMA-M2. Analyze the general material, clinicalmanifestations, immunological and pathological changes, and curative effectUDCA between the two groups.Results: The total patients were 24, the positive AMA-M2 13, thenegative 11. The period was 2 years from occuring to diagnosing in thepositive group, 2.5 years in the negative groups. There was no significantdifference between two groups in clinical manifestation, and also in SerumALT, AST, TBil, ALP and GGT before treatment. The rate of serum ANA inthe positive group was significantly higher than that of the negative group. 24patients were checked by liver puncture, the pathological stage had nosignificant difference in two groups. All of the patients accepted UDCA andgeneral therapy. They have been taking UDCA more than two years. Aftertaking UDCA 3 months, 70.8% patients showed clinical manifestationremission. There is no significant difference on liver furction in differentcurative period between two groups. One patient appeared transient diarrheaafter treatment. Two patients, who were in the â…£ pathological stage, showedthe bad curative effect. Till now, there is no patient died.Conclusion: We find that some patients show the negative AMA-M2 bycurrent test method, but actually, they are probably positive. It will be good todiagnose PBC if we test AMA and AMA-M2 earlier and more times. UDCAdoes not completely heal any PBC patient, and does not make any patientcondition worse for stopping treatment. But it has active effect to clinicalmanifestation and library parameters indeed. It does not show differentcurative effect between the two groups by UDCA. Being without side effectand risk, to treat with UDCA as early and long as possible is necessary.
