Objective The purpose of this cephalometric study was to compare the harmony of soft tissue among malocclusions with different skeletal patterns from the study on soft tissue cephalometric of Arnett analysis.Methods sixty children models comprise the cephalometric database for this analysis (26male,34 female) of Qing Dao medical college affiliated hospital clinical cases, aged form 12 to 16 which have not orthodontic therapy ,inborn ,craniofacial deformity and apparente asymmetry of face ,were divided into 3 groups according ANB and SN-MP. Metallic beads were placed on models" right midface of every malocclusions .Take cephalometric radiograph in natural head position.Discuss the conclusion with one-way ANOVA analysis by comparing the groups.The values of craniofacial morphology were examined by the statistic significant correlation with midface structure , analysis values of soft tissue difference between malocclusions.Results Values were significant deviation with different ANB: ( p<0.01 ) : Overbite,Overjet,Orbital rim,Cheek bone,Mdl ,Lower lip anterior,throat length,facial angle.Values were significant deviation with different SN-MP(p<0.01): Mx occlusal plane,Pogonion' ,subnasale' -pogonion' .Orbital rims, Subpupil, Alar base, Cheek bone were significant correlation with SNB. Cheek bone, Alar base, were significant correlation with ANB which represent different skeletal patterns Of anteroposterior axes. Conclusion It is believed that lots of measure values with significant deviation of different skeletal patterns .The structure of midface have great dependability on anteroposterior axes of maxillary and mandibular rather than vertical of them...
