The USB is the mature in technology, so it has been extensively used in all kinds of IT products. Among all the USB chips made by manufacturer, Cypress 's FX2 is the most typical that integrates the enhanced high - speed MCU(8051) with the Serial Interface Engine (SIE) automatically deal with the protocol of USB2.0, connects closely with outside and increases the expanded buffer up to four.This paper designs a USB2. 0 data acquisition systerm to detect and deal with the biomedical signal, then the firmware and driver program are designed to make it run in the computer with the platforms of Windows XP and LabWin-dows/CVI. Virtual Instrument (VI) is a new stage of the developing intelligent instrument. The software platform facing programmers is LabWindows/CVI. The design achieves the project preliminarily.The dissertation elaborates designing details and research results of mu-tichannels data acquisition system based on USB2. 0 at Windows XP and LabWindows/CVI platform. This proceeds in such aspects as general scheme, hardware circuits, software programs and performance test. The characters of the system selects 12 - bit A/D chip converter with high sampling rate and high precision to switch the circuit design. Using multiaddress technology finishes the A/D conversion of the multichannel signal. All this decrease the designing complexity, enhance the system stability and lessen the instrument volume.The study of it, attains the goal that a new generation of medical signal data acquisition system has been produced with the characters, such as high function - price - ratio, multi - function, low power supply and easy use.
