Each time is 2 hours extract and the first time water is 10 times, the second water is 8 times of medicinal substances mass. When volatile oil extract , first of all should crude medicinal substances were comminuted and sieving about 20 mesh. Heated and refluxing was 6 hours that gained volatile oil mass more than other methods. Preparation of watered pill used 75% alcohol asmoistening agent and added quality about from 25 to 28 percents of the prescribe mass. A reversed-phased HPLC methods was determine quality of berberine hydrochloride because the method simple, quickly, result accurate and reliability. Spectrum condition: mobile phase: acetonitrile 0.05mol/L and ADP (ammonium dihydrogen phosphate, compose of 0.03% triethylamine, use phosphonic acid adjust pH to 2.5. ratio 35: 65). Flow rate: l.Oml/min. Detect wave length: 345nm. The contents of berberine hydrochloride was 97.9159ug/pill(>0.045%). Average recovery was99.882%(RSD=1.2%).
