| Objective: To study and sum up the Clinical Classification and Technique for Tibia Defect after Trauma. Method: To reviewe 32 patients with long bone defects of tibia. According to their defected states, they have been divided in to three classification and have been treated with three operation method. Class 1: 4~6cm bone defected, treated with Ilizarov single-level bone transport technique; Class 2: 6~9cm bone defected, treated with Ilizarov double level bone transport technique. Class 3 : >9cm bone defected, treated with vascularized fibula grafting. The average follow-up was 47 months (from 12 to 96) , after remove the Ilizarov fixater. The function recover of the operated limbs were evaluated according to Ennecking Score System and comparison to the clinical effects class 1, in 6, 12 and 24 month. Result: The bone defect was filled up and the length discrepancy of the extremity was corrected. Bony healing was obtained in all cases, the average time of external fixation was 13.9 months and the average time of bone healing was 7.2 months. Class 1:12 and 24 month have been good limb function recovery compare with 6 month. Conclusion: Classification treatment for tibia defect is good for surgeon to choose a simple and effective operation method. |
