Objective In order to study how to enhance the apoptosis rate and decrease survival rate of lung cancer cell and to find more effective treatment for lung cancer, the effect of lung cancer cell apoptosis and survival induced by radiation or combination of vinorelbine and Cisplatin with radiation was studied.Material and Methods Culturing human lung cancer cell GLC to logarithmic growth phase were used for the cell survival test and apoptosis test. After treating lung cancer GLC cells with radiation or vinorelbine and cisplatin with concurrent radiation and by inculating cell for two weeks, clone, survival rate and SER are calculated. The formation of cellular apoptosis was observed by using inverted phase contrast microscope, fluorescent stain and propidium iodide staining and flow cytometery technique. The effects of two methods on cellular apoptosis were compared with each other. Results In the cell survival test, SER was bigger than one(SER>1). In the ceil apoptosis test, vinorelbine and cisplatin with concurrent radiation can achieve better effect of apoptosis than only radiation in the same time phase(p<0.05).Conclusion Vinorelbine and cisplatin can enhance sensibility of radiation.Apoptosis of lung cancer cell cotrld be induced by vinorelbine and cisplatin with concurrent radiation or only radiation. The vinorelbine and cisplatin with concurrent radiation can achieve better effect of apoptosis than radiation individually. There is selectivity of time-dose on apoptotic peak values of radio-chemotherapy groups.
