Objective: To evaluate the change of exocrine in the pancreas of dogs withacute necrotizing pancreatitis and study the effect of 5-fluorouracil on exocrine I the pancreas of dogs with acute necrotizing pancreatitis. Methods: To evulate the change of serum amylase and lipase in dogs withacute necrotizing pancreatitis. The ultrastructure of the pancreas in dogs with acute pancreatitis was determined by the transmission electron microscope. The expression of succinate dehydrogenase, cytochrome oxidase, coenzyme II diaphorase, lactate dehydrogenase, alkialine phosphatase and acid phosphatase was determined by enzymohistochemistry. Results: In dogs with acute necrotizing pancreatitis , serum amylase andlipase increased , ultrastructure of pancreas changed and the expression of succinate dehydrogenase, cytochrome oxidase, coenzyme II diaphorase, lactate dehydrogenase, alkaline phosphatase and acid phosphatase decreased. 5-fluorouracil had no effect on these changes. Conclusions: The exocrine of the pancreas in dogs with acute necrotizing pancreatitis decreased. 5-fluorouracil had no effects on the exocrine of the pancreas in dogs with acute necrotizing pancreatitis...
