| This thesis discusses ancient and modern doctors' witting on diabetic nephropathy. We made the kidneys damage model of diabetic rats by STZ with high-energy food. We study some items as glucose-metabolism, fat metabolism, glycol hemoglobin, insulin level and white protein in urine,β2-globin protein and so on by using modern media and methods as biochemistry , optical microscope, electronic microscope, radio-immunology. We also observe the kidneys' pathological changes of diabetic rats and the changes of growth hormone/ insulin growth factor-1 in serum. We study the mechanism of SHENXIAOKANG.The results as bellow:Firstly, SHENXIAOKANG play better role in decreasing glucose and fat in blood, urinary protein, reducing unenzyme-glycosylation and regulating the insulin level.Secondly , SHENXIAOKANG can lessen thickenedglomerular capillary basement membrane and condition of vacuolar degeneration of renal tubular epithelial cells. Thirdly , SHENXIAOKANG. Can regulate significantly the amount of growth hormone/ insulin growth factor-1 in diabetic rats serum.The results above not only explain therapy mechanism of SHENXIAOKANG , but also provide experimental basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine preventing and treating diabetic retinopathy.
