Analysis On The Death Cause Of Inhabitants And Suggestion Of The Prevention And Cure In Disease Surveillance Point Of Anhui Province (2003)

Objective: Analysis of death cause can reveal the statistic characteristics and dynamic trends of diseases and death as well as changes in the spectrum of diseases and that of the death causes ,it can also objectively reflect the inhabitants' overall physical health state to provid a major reference for health decision and disease's control and prevention. To observe the change of death causes sequences , the pattern and dynamic trend of death causes for the inhabitants in disease surveillance point (DSP) of Anhui province. Methods: The analysis is based on the Annual Report on Death Causes of Inhabitants' Diseases and Injuries of Anhui province 2003, and other relevant background information. We get the results by analyzing the quantity and structure of population, characteristics of the inhabitants' death causes in Anhui province to understand the composition of leading death causes and its effect on inhabitants' physical health state. Results: The main sequence of death causes is: malignant tumor, Cerebral vessels disease, circulatory system disease, respiratory system disease, poisonings and injuries, etc. Injuries and poisonings is children's most dangerous cause, especially traffic accidents. With the continuous rise of the inhabitants' life span, the proportion of old population is increased. The proportion of chronic diseases is increased, and it have been the very severe hazard to the inhabitants in DSP of Anhui. Conclusion: The prevention and control of non-communicable chronic diseases and research on risk factors of poisonings and injuries should be strengthened. Carrying out health education and community health promotion, esTABlishing health life fashion, discarding hazard habits are public health problems. Protecting our living environment and emphasizing heath educationto the public, especially in the rural area, are urgent.
