In the Latin-American Andes Mountain, there's a cultural identity which has existed for a long time with its own Cosmo vision about life, medicine, illness and the use of medical herbs. Ecuador is an Andean as well as a tropical country with a diversity of medical herbs. At the same time, in China, traditional medicine which includes mainly acupuncture and the study of herbs, has been practiced for more than 3000 years. To integrate and connect these two knowledge sources will possibly create an extensive field for research. This work reviews general information about Andean Cosmo vision of life and health in relation with nature and the use of medical herbs; we classified the plants into cold, warm and neutral. We chose 16 species and studied their properties and clinical uses, afterwards analyzed comparatively with other 16 Chinese herbs with similar botanic family and uses. In addition, we studied 43 species that are used both in Ecuador and China; so in total we have 59 species used to prepare Traditional Andean Formulas based on the principles and laws of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Its the first attempt to integrate two cultures, two civilizations, two worlds, two life and health Cosmo visions with the purpose of service to patients.
