Objective: To observe the concentration of several inflammatory markers and adiponectin,then analyze the relationship among blood serum levels of insulin resistance, adiponectin , and markers of inflammation,and possible mechanism of them during insulin resistance. Methods: Fasting blood serum hs-CRP,IL-1β,IL-6 and adiponectin concentrations were measured from 90 cases,including type 2diabetes mellitus without 6 months (DM),impaired glucose tolerance (IGT) and normal glucose tolerance (NGT);and fasting insulin (FINS) in all cases for calculating insulin resistance index (homeostasis model assessment, HOMA-IR) , analyze the relationship between them . Results: Fasting blood serum hs-CRP concentration in DM group(4.12±0.35) was higher than that in NGT group(3.58±0.40) and IGT group(3.91±0.26),P﹤0.05;IGT group was higher than that in NGT group too, P﹤0.05. Fasting blood serum IL-6 concentration in DM group(1.52±0.15) was higher than that in NGT group(1.30±0.19) and IGT group(1.37±0.17),P﹤0.05;IGT group was higher than that in NGT group too but P﹥0.05. Fasting blood serum IL-1βconcentration in DM group(1.17±0.14) was higher than that in NGT group(0.83±0.25)and IGT group(0.95±0.14),P﹤0.05;IGT group was higher than that in NGT group too but P﹥0.05. Fasting blood serum adiponectin concentration in DM group(4254±1760 ng/ml) and IGT group (5068±2100 ng/ml)were lower than that in NGT group(6605±2450 ng/ml),P﹤0.05;DM group was lower than that in IGT group too but P﹥0.05. Partial correlation analysis showed that HOMA-IR was correlated with hs-CRP,IL-1β,IL-6 and adiponectin (P﹤0.05), and adiponectin was inversely related to hs-CRP (P﹤0.05). Conclusion: Fasting blood serum hs-CRP,IL-1βand IL-6 levels increased and adiponectin levels decreased in type 2diabetes mellitus without 6 months and IGT . Hs-CRP,IL-1β,IL-6 and adiponectin were important factors those effect HOMA-IR ,among them hs-CRP is the most strong, adiponectin is negatively related to HOMA-IR. And adiponectin is negatively related to hs-CRP. All relationships between them are independented on the clustering of obesity.
