The Effect Of Combination Treatments On Brain Reorganization After Cerebral Infarction

Objective:To study whether the San Qi and Hyperbaric oxygen and rehabilitation training and electroacupuncture can improve function of motion and cognition and activities of daily living.To evaluate its value in microcosmic and macroscopic aspects.To investigate cognitive function involved factors.Methods:80 patients with acute cerebral infarction of internal carotid system(ICS) were randomly divided into three groups,treatment 1 group and treatment 2 group and control group.Patients in the control group were given clinical treatment while those in treatment 1 group were given San Qo, rehabilitation training and electroacupuncture,and those in treatment 2 group were given hyperbaric oxygen based on treatment lgroup.the evaluation was assessed at enrollment,after 3 weeks respectively.the assessment index include European Stroke Scale(ESS) ,Barthel index (BI) ,P₃₀₀PL,Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale subtype.Results: After a course of treatment,the value of ESS and BI and P₃₀₀PL and full intelligence quotient(FIQ) and Performance IQ(PIQ) increased in three group,and there was significant difference between treatment groups and control group(P < 0.05).the values of verbal IQ (VIQ) and FIQ with right infarction were higher than these with left infarction, the values of PIQ with left infarction were higher than these with right infarction.Excluding PIQ,the improvement of others values with right infarction is obviouser than that with eft infarction .Poststroke cognitive function was related to the age, level of education,location and volume of the brain lesions.The incidence may correlated with gender.Conclusions:After acute cerebral infarction of ICS,CNS may has plasticity, the San Qi and rehabilitation training and hyperbaric oxygen and electroacupuncture can improve motion functionand cognitive function,but motion function improvement is obvious. Cognitive impairment of left hemispheric stroke was more serious than that of right Cognitive impairment results from multiple risk factors.P3ooPL is a sensitive index on assessing cognitive function.
