The Study Of Expression And Significance Of KAI1/CD82 And MMP-9 In Gastric Adenocarcinoma

Objective To detect the expression of KAI1/CD82 and MMP-9 in gastric carcinoma and investigate the relationship with the clinicopathologic features and the prognosis of gastric adenocarcinoma.Methods 68 cases of paraffin embedded tissues from gastric carcinoma and 20 cases non-tumor gastric tissue were detected for the expression of KAI1/CD82 and MMP-9 by means of Immunohistochemical assay. 35 cases were follow-up from 14 months to 13 years, in which the prognosis was analyzed.Result Of the 68 cases gastric carcinoma, 18(26.47%) were positive for KAI1, 59(86.76% )for MMP-9. Of the 20 cases non-tumor gastric tissue, 19(95.00%) were positive for KAI1, 4(20.00%) for MMP-9. KAI1/CD82 positive rate in well differentiated carcinoma was higher than in poor one , 4137% 15.36%, respectively (P<0.05) ; KAI1/CD82 positive rate in the cases without lymph node metastasis was higher than that with lymph node metastasis , 45.45%, 5.26% , rspectively(p<0.05); MMP-9 positive rate in the cases with lymph node metastasis was higher than that without lymph node metastasis , 95.65% 68.18%,respectrvely (p<0.05); KAI1/CD82 was expressed in mucosa muscularis and serosa in 66.67% 34.78% 15.38%, rspectively (p<0.05); MMP-9 was 33.33% 91.30% 92.05%, respectly(p<0.05); KAI1/CD82 positive rate in I /II staging was 36.96%,in III/IVstaging was 13.64% (p<0.05) . The expression of KAIl/CD82and MMP-9 were not related to age sex of the tumor( p>0.05). The patients with KAI1/CD82 positive tumor had high 10-year survival (p<0.05) , and MMP-9 positive had low 10- year survival (p<0.01) .Conclusion Low expression of KAI1 /CD82 and high expression of MMP-9 promote tumor metastasis. The expression of KAI1 was related to invasion differentiation staging and lymph node metastasis of the tumor, and the expression of MMP-9 was related to invasion and lymph node metastasis of the tumor. The expression of KAI1 and MMP-9 were not related to age , sex of the tumor. The assay of KAIland MMP-9 in patients with gastric carcinoma has the active role and instructive significance in estimating prognosis and work out ration therapy.
