Objective: The purpose of this study was to master the basis dataincluding the qualities, infection, incident and dead of paid blood donorand provides evidence and control strategies on AIDS in future inXinxiang City.Methods: We had a cencus in rual area. We detected HIV antibody forpaid blood donors who we find .if the results showed positive, we tookCD4 test for this population.Results: Five million and three hundred thousand people wereinvestigated. The total of 4187 that ever paid blood was found. 4078cases of 4187 were tested with HIV antiboby, with a test rate of 97.4%.Infected HIV of 92 was confirmed in this survey with an infectious rate of2.26%.Conclusion: There was a higher prevalence rate of HIV infection amongpaid blood donor in this city. It should enhance management and takeavailable action to prevent further transmission HIV.
