Background and objects:The mechanism that chronic cerebral hypoperfusionconduced dementia is intricacy, this dementia is a ordinary little vasdementia .Clinic character is progressing dementia based on grainarteriosclerosis .Hypertension and diabetes may aggravate this progress. In thebrain of this animal model, rarefaction of white matter with dilatation of theventricles was frequently observed .To understand further the mechanism ofwhite matter changes under cerebral hypofusion and hypertension , chronologicalsequence of molecular changes in the cerebral white matter of the animal modelwas determined. Then investigating from pathology, immunohistochemistryanalyse and clinic intelligence examine aspects, trid to probe into the connectionthat hypotension, chronic hypofusion with white matter dementia and whathappened in white matter. Methods: Spontaneously hypertensive rats and non-hypotension rats were used inthis experiment, both carotid arteries was ligated. The levels of myelin basicprotein(MBP) as a marker of myelin, neurofilament H (NF-H)as a marker ofaxomal protein, and glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP) as a marker of astrogliawere analyzed after 3 months of cerebral hypoperfusion with Western blottingand enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Space memory of rats was registeredwith Morris water maze. Results:The result after 1 and 3 months of hypoperfusion showed that in theoperated group the levels of MBP and NF-H decreased and GFAP increased, inoperating plus SHR group is especially. The time course of MBP and NF-Hchanges revealed that the changes of MBP preceded that of NF-H .The spacememory of five groups were all declined, that was related with chronic cerebral...
